Charlottenborg Sofa

The Charlottenborg lounge chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1936 and was shown publically for the first time at the Charlottenborg spring exhibition in 1937. The curving shapes became very characteristic of Jacobsen's many famous chair designs. The armchair has quite an unconventional shape, where the elegantly curved back of solid rattan goes in one of the armrests, both of which are beautifully integrated into the bottom of the chair. The Charlottenborg lounge chair was reportedly Jacobsen's favorite armchair in his famous cottage on the Bay of Sails.

The Charlottenborg sofa is part of Sika Design's ICONS collection, where they revitalize iconic pieces of furniture from some of Europe's most skilled and important architects and designers.

The cushions which fit the sofa are of high quality and comfort, they come in a variety of shades.
